They Call Him OG 2 is the officially confirmed sequel to Pawan Kalyan’s 2025 crime action blockbuster They Call Him OG. Pawan Kalyan Creative Works confirmed in June 2026 that the film is in active development, with discussions set to begin once director Sujeeth returns from abroad and production. 

The sequel takes Ojas Gambheera’s story international, moving from Mumbai to Tokyo where he’ll face unfinished wars with the Yakuza. It’s being positioned as part of the planned “Sujeeth Cinematic Universe” with a bigger scale, deadlier villains, and grand action set pieces. Pawan Kalyan will reprise his role as Ojas Gambheera, with Sujeeth returning to write and direct, DVV Entertainment producing, and Thaman S likely handling the music again. 

The first film, released September 25, 2025, followed ex-gangster Ojas returning to 1993 Bombay to take down crime boss Omi Bhau, played by Emraan Hashmi. It earned $35 million worldwide and became the 9th highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, with a record 25+ crore premiere day. OG 2 will expand that world with a Tokyo backdrop and new enemies, but no release date has been announced yet since it’s still in the discussion stage.
