Ryan Coogler returns to write & direct Black Panther 3

Release: December 15, 2028 - only in theaters

Title shown: Logo revealed as "Black Panther III" . 

2. New Black Panther Cast

Huge twist: David Jonsson is the new Black Panther

Who he plays: T'Challa - the son of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa and Nakia

Background: British actor from The Long Walk

On stage: Jonsson appeared with Letitia Wright and Winston Duke

Jonsson's quote: "I don’t want to say too much because I want to let the screen do the talking, but believe me the honor is entirely mine" f3803902

This sets up the reveal from Wakanda Forever where we learned T’Challa + Nakia had a son. 

3. Who's Back

Letitia Wright as Shuri - she was on stage with Jonsson

Winston Duke as M'Baku also appeared

Denzel Washington is expected to have a secret role. 

4. Where it fits in MCU

Comes after Avengers: Doomsday (Dec 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (Dec 2027)

Shuri will appear as Black Panther in Avengers: Doomsday

Phase 6 will be in full swing by then .

Coogler came out at Hall H and said: “The last time we were together, we got to make a movie, we introduced a character that was the son of the character that the late Chadwick Boseman played”
