PLOT / ABOUT VITHABAI -

The film chronicles the life of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar (1935), known as the “Tamasha Samradini” or Empress of Tamasha. She was one of Maharashtra’s most renowned Lavani and Tamasha performers. 

The teaser highlights a famous incident: Vithabai performed on stage while 8-9 months pregnant. During a show she went into labour, delivered her baby backstage, cut the umbilical cord with a stone, and returned to complete her performance. She received the President of India’s highest honor in 1957 and 1990.
