Authority: Section 24 of Passports Act, 1967

Effective: July 1, 2026. Applications submitted before 00:00 IST July 1 pay old rates.

36-PAGE PASSPORT - ADULT -

Normal Old: Rs 1,500

Normal New: Rs 2,500

Tatkal Old: Rs 3,500  

Tatkal New: Rs 5,000

Validity: 10 years

60-PAGE PASSPORT - ADULT -

Normal Old: Rs 2,000

Normal New: Rs 3,500

Tatkal Old: Rs 4,000

Tatkal New: Rs 6,000

Validity: 10 years

LOST/DAMAGED - 36 PAGES -

Normal Old: Rs 3,000

Normal New: Rs 4,000

Tatkal Old: Rs 5,000

Tatkal New: Rs 6,500

LOST/DAMAGED - 60 PAGES -

Normal Old: Rs 3,500

Normal New: Rs 5,000

Tatkal Old: Rs 5,500

Renewal vs Fresh: Both cost same now. No difference

60-page worth it?: Only if you travel >3 times/year. Each immigration stamp = 1 page. ₹1,000 extra for 24 more pages.
