For the first time, Apple is splitting iPhone launches into 2 waves:

Fall 2026 - Premium models only

Spring 2027 - Standard iPhone 18 9d0f0c38

This means the iPhone 17 could be Apple’s mainline flagship for ∼18 months, the longest gap ever.

iPhone Fold / iPhone Ultra - Apple’s first foldable

Design: Book-style like Galaxy Z Fold

Displays: 7.8" inner OLED, 5.5" outer cover screen

Thickness: 4.5mm unfolded - one of thinnest foldables

Hinge: "Nearly invisible crease", ultra-thin design

Auth: Touch ID in power button, not Face ID

Cameras: Dual rear cameras

Price: $1,999+ US, £1,899 UK, ₹1,89,900-₹2,09,900 India
