1 .PLOT

Plot: Set in 1980s Secunderabad. Follows a marginalized tribe stripped of rights who find hope in an unlikely leader, described only as "a bastard", who leads their fight for citizenship and recognition.

Director Srikanth Odela’s take: Says it’ll tackle bureaucracy, oppression and exploitation "without the filters typically applied to Indian cinema". He’s calling it the "rawest, most authentic, original and unapologetically honest Indian film"

Nani’s take: Called it "India's Mad Max". Says it’ll be "wild in tone and nature" with "poetic justice" .

Name revealed as Jadal in the first-look glimpse. Rugged, intense, wild avatar

The glimpse showed him in a brutal, raw look that went viral. Fans are calling it his most violent role yet after Dasara.

New date: August 21, 2026 worldwide

Why August: Hits a rare 3-week festival wave - Onam + Milad-un-Nabi in week 1, Raksha Bandhan in week 2, Janmashtami in week 3

Why it moved: Original March 26 date was crowded. Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups expected to take most screens. Other films like Dacoit, Gabru, and Nani’s own Peddi also moved .
