1. UNIQUE BBL RULES
BBL is known for trying new T20 rules:
Power Surge: 2 overs where only 2 fielders allowed outside 30-yard circle. Taken anytime between overs 11-20
Bash Boost: Extra point awarded to team leading at 10-over mark of 2nd innings
X-Factor Player: 12th/13th player can sub in at 10th over of 2nd innings if a player is out/hasn't bowled/batted yet .

Start: 14th December 2025
Final: 27th January 2026
Total Matches: 44 games + 5 finals games
Opening Match: Melbourne Stars vs Melbourne Renegades at MCG.
3. PRIZE MONEY & TROPHY
Winners: AUD $450,000
Runners-up: AUD $280,000
Trophy: The "BBL Trophy" - silver bash with cricket ball on top.
