Top 3 teams from each group → Super Six

New: Round 1 - "Super Series"

Teams 12, 13, 14 play round-robin

Top team progresses to Round 2

2. SECOND ROUND

Previous: Super Six 

Two groups of 3 teams

9 matches total

Top 2 from each group → Semis

New: Round 2

Two groups of 6 teams

30 matches total

Top 3 teams from each group + next highest placed team overall → Super 7

3. FINAL ROUNDS

Previous: 

Super Six → Top 2 → Semifinals → Final

New: Round 3: Super 7

Round robin - 21 matches

Top 4 teams from Super 7 → Semifinals

Semifinals: 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3

KEY CHANGES IN NEW FORMAT

Qualifying round added: Teams 12, 13, 14 play a "Super Series" first

Bigger groups: 2 groups of 6 instead of 2 groups of 3

Super 7 round: Round robin with 7 teams instead of Super Six

More matches: 30 + 21 matches in later stages vs 9 earlier

Clear seeding for semis: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 format.
