What: Special permission for hotels, restaurants, bars, pubs to serve food till 3:30 AM

Where: Bengaluru city only

When: July 14, 15, and 19, 2026

Why: FIFA Club World Cup 2026 live screenings

2. WHY THESE 3 DATES?

CWC 2026 knockout matches are in late night IST. The govt relaxed timings for:

July 14 - Round of 16 / Quarter Final matches

July 15 - Quarter Final / Semi Final matches

July 19 - FINAL - Biggest match of tournament

Most CWC games kick off between 12:30 AM to 5:30 AM IST . 

3. WHAT'S ALLOWED

Food service: Till 3:30 AM in licensed hotels/restaurants

Bars/Pubs: Can stay open later + do late-night screenings with projectors/HD TVs

Special menus: Many pubs are planning "late-night half-time menus" with finger food + pitcher deals for 1 AM crowd . 

Note: Alcohol rules still follow Karnataka Excise laws. Extension is mainly for food + screening, not unlimited alcohol.
